Hamilton’s local arts collective, HAVN, converted a nondescript column to a striking art installation with help from Morse & Associates. The project was made possible with support from the City of Hamilton’s placemaking grant program in 2022.
The application developed by our expert team addressed certain challenges. To conform and adhere to the exposed aggregate concrete surface, a 3M graphic vinyl product and special installation process were required. The structure's unusual proportions were easily accommodated with a little planning.
As of summer 2023 the graphic remains as good as new, adding brightness and vitality to the very heart of the city. Many thanks to the collaborators at HAVN for working with us, and also to city staff for facilitating.
